Thrive dane LLC is looking for a dedicated direct care worker to provide support for an adult who is neurodivergent. He is a self described foodie and loves experiencing new foods and flavors by trying restaurants or new recipes at home. Exercising by taking long walks and listening to music are just a few of the things that are extremely important for him daily.

Responsibilities:

Provide companionship and prompt activities of daily living including light housekeeping, meal preparations, and personal hygiene; We do not provide hands-on support for this individual. 

Observe medication delivery (as directed) 

Provide transportation and/or support during community events or recreational activities (may use community transportation services such as Uber) 

Maintain accurate documentation and communicate with supervisors and/or family members. 

Qualifications:

Patience, empathy and strong communication skills 

Ability to stay calm and supportive in challenging situations

Willingness to dedicate time for building relationships. 

Valid drivers license and access to transportation is preferred, but not required. 

Ability to pass background checks

Schedule and Work Environment: 

Currently we have multiple shifts open; Our agency requires one shift during the week and one shift every other weekend

Weekend shifts: 12:00pm-7:00pm (Saturday) and 3:00pm-7:00pm (Sunday)

We have a small group of caregivers for this household, so availability can be flexible and there are frequently open shifts during the weekdays, 3:00pm-7:00pm. 

Compensation and Benefits: 

$17.75/hour
