Direct Care Worker

We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Direct Care Workers. As a Direct Care Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing essential care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, seniors, and those in need of assistance with daily living activities and independence in their respective communities.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals in their homes or residential facilities
• Assist with activities of daily living such as grooming, bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
• Monitor and record vital signs and health status
• Support individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving personal goals and independence
• Engage clients in meaningful activities and social interactions
• Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Provide transportation to local stores and events.

Qualifications

• Experience in home health, caregiving, or patient care is preferred, but not required
• Knowledge of working with people with developmental disabilities and seniors a plus
• Ability to cook meals and follow dietary restrictions
• Compassionate and patient demeanor
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be 18 or older

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Experience:

• Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred) but willing to train

License/Certification:

• Driver’s License (Required)
